Today I’m writing about women’s beauty tools: and top on my list of must-haves is the Spa Sciences Mio Microdermabrasion and Pore Extraction Skin Resurfacing System. Before I start, I want to say that this is my HONEST review. I was not paid by Spa Sciences or given this product free to test. I purchased it with my own money because I have been DESPERATE for a skin care system/pore vacuum tool that actually worked.
Let’s start with a little background info… I work in the healthcare field. I am an ophthalmic technician/assistant and during this whole COVID-19 pandemic, my company has remained open. If you’re in the healthcare field, you understand when I say that in my entire 27 years of life- my skin has NEVER looked or felt worse. While I’m grateful that my PPE has been protecting my body- my skin where my mask sits for 8 hours a day took a HARD, HARD hit. It was HORRIBLE! You could get lost in my pores. It. Was. So. Gross!!
After my last pore vacuum failed me, I was looking for an inexpensive system to make these pores all over my face at least get somewhat smaller… I have a pretty good skin care routine. I mainly use Peter Thomas Roth, GlamGlow mud masks, Lancôme, and Youth to the People (still all my top skincare brands) mixed with pore strips- but I found that I was just using more and more of my products (which cost a pretty penny) and lately… They just weren’t cutting it alone.
After doing ample amounts of research on pore extractors/microdermabrasion- I stumbled upon the Spa Sciences Meo. I couldn’t believe that there were so many positive reviews on this system- no matter what website I found it on. So I dove into the reviews. I was sure they had to be all fake paid reviews- but to my pleasant surprise- nope! Real reviews. I figured, “Well, even if they are fake reviews- it’s inexpensive and I’ve spent $30 on a lot of crap that didn’t work in the past with less than adequate reviews. If it’s a waste, I’ll send it back!” And y’all- I’m so damn glad that I bought it.
**PSA** What I’m about to to show you is genuinely embarrassing to put out on the Internet for the world to see- but these are my real results and I KNOW I’m not the only one that has tried EVERYTHING to get gunk out of my skin. However, my results may be gross to some, so if you have a weak stomach just scroll fast, haha.
You can purchase the Mio by clicking HERE, and BONUS- it’s even on sale right now!
Here are the details:
MIO is a rechargeable diamond microdermabrasion & pore extraction device with 5 customizable speeds that harnesses the skin-rejuvenation properties of diamond bits and vacuum suction to resurface the skin.
MIO’s Diamond Rejuvenation Tip exfoliates and polishes the complexion to smooth rough, dry areas, as well as age/sun spots and uneven skin tone while improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to increase skin’s radiance.
MIO’s vacuum Suction Extraction Tips helps to target congested areas to purify pores and diminish the look of pore size.
The MIO includes a rechargeable microdermabrasion tool, 1 rejuvenating diamond tip, 3 different size pore extraction tips, 20 single-use foam filters, USB charging cord, and an operating manual. I will say (and so will reviews from other purchasers) that they need better directions for replacing the foam filters- but I’m so satisfied with this product that if it’s a little confusing on how to change the foam filters, I’m a 100% satisfied customer!
A couple more tips:
#1. Be sure to read the product manual/how to use thoroughly! I got carried away when I first used it and got a little bruise from staying on one little pesky pore for too long.
#2. All of this crap that you see in these pics was from ONE SESSION after my long shower this morning. Any type of pore extraction works best after you’ve been in a steamy bath/shower because your pores are nice and open- ready and waiting to be extracted!
HAPPY SUNDAY, friends! Everyone stay healthy, happy, and please be courteous to others by covering up your face if you have to go out and about!
